😂 🍕… okay but in all seriousness.. are you restricting yourself from pizza, and then when you do “allow” yourself to eat pizza – do you binge, feel guilty, and then restrict again in an attempt to “gain control?”
Would you like to be able to eat a slice of pizza or two without anxiety, feel satisfied and be able to move on with your life without feeling the desire to binge or think and dream about pizza literally 24/7 – 7 days of the week?
After we’ve believed for so long that certain foods are “bad, toxic, unclean, fattening, poison, and will mucus us up”.. of course, it can be straight up TERRIFYING to eat these off limit foods once we decide we want to get our lives and sanity back..
That we don’t want food obsessions to control our lives anymore and that it’s NOT normal to live this way and have to “rely on willpower”..
If you’re struggling to recover and can’t seem to break the dysfunctional habitual patterns of restricting, and you keep running, hiding, suppressing, and distracting from facing the fears, you won’t be able to recover and you’ll continue to stay in the extreme, miserable, isolated, deprived, malnourished state you’re in..
The only way to overcome the fears is to step into them, face them and feel them – no matter how uncomfortable or stressful it feels..
If you’re at the point where you’re fed up and just DONE with the restrictions stealing your life and health – you’ve got to let go and JUST DO IT.. face the fears and just EAT..and eat a shit ton if your body is asking for it without any restrictions of any kind.
And eventually the extreme hunger dies down and you’ll be able to find a balance that works for your unique physiology..
You’ll be able to live without the bottomless pit hunger, the bingeing episodes, the rules, the extremes, the anxiety, the fears, the physical and mental malnourishment..
Don’t be afraid of your hunger.
Feasting always follows famine. Dieting is a form of starvation / famine. Quit the diets. Diets are stealing your life, joy and health. 🙅♀️
